Post-It Holder

Hey everyone
I am putting up a tutorial for making a Wall Hanging Post-It holder with a pocket to hold your pen/pencil. Its incredibly easy to make and I am sure you all will like it. It requires very few things and takes about 30 mins to make 1. So lets begin....

Materials:
  • Mountboard
  • Pattern paper/ Handmade paper
  • Mulberry flowers, leaves and pollens
  • Satin ribbon
  • Eyehole punch
  • Scissors/ Cutters
  • Adhesive
  • Embellishments and Washi tapes
Procedure:
  • Lets first cut out mountboard to form the structure of the post-it holder. I cut a a frame as given in the image below.
  • Then I covered the inside and outside of this frame with dark rose colored handmade paper. You can use any paper you like. Its important to score the paper before folding it to give a finished look.
  • Once this step in done, adhere the ends of the holder to obtain the desired shape. Then add a small partition made from mountboard and covered with paper. Make sure the partition is of the same size as the sides of the post-it holder.
  • Now, I started decorating it. Added a polka dotted paper tape at the top. Added mulberry roses and leaves with pollens at the bottom.
  • Then I hand wrote the sentiment " Make a note....you're special" with a waterproof pen on a white cardstock which I had distressed with spun sugar distress ink.
  • Added butterflies at the top and few pears on them.
  • I punched a hole at the top and added a satin ribbon to help hanging of the holder.
I hope you all liked it. Thank you for visiting my blog.
