A Vintage Love Story- Shabby Chic Decoupage Box

Hello guys
Welcome to my blog...today's project is DT inspiration for ItsyBitsy where the theme all this month is Decoupage. To participate in the ongoing challenge please click HERE. For a full tutorial of this project, please click HERE.
Here are a few pics of my project.
Here I have used crackle medium along with chalk paints from ItsyBitsy to give this amazing texture to my box. The central image is decoupages using Matt decoupage glue and then sealed with varnish.

To give this a vintage feel, I distressed the edges using Archival inks. To give my project a shabby feel, I have used loads of flowers and elements from ItsyBitsy.

I am putting my project for the following challenges:
  1. HLS Mixed Media Challenge - May 2018- Gold
  2. Through the Purple Haze challenge Challenge#144 - Add Pearl or Lace
  3. More Mixed Media Challenge - Anything Goes optional pink
  4. ARTastic Challenge Blog - Hello May - the entire artwork has inspired my project. I have included the bird, the flowers and the color scheme in my work.

Floral Name Plate for Parties!

Hello guys
This is a custom order I recently did and unlike other orders I take this one was real fun. I made this huge name plate for a cute little girl named ANAYA and her name is spelled in MARATHI language script.
This entire name is 12" by 30" and I made it from scratch from 1400 gsm chipboard. I covered the entire name with pink cardstock sheet (Full Imperial size) on both the side. It was a little tedious but once I started adding flowers...it all was long forgotten and I was having so much fun.
I have used 139 flowers and buds of different size and materials and 55 mulberry and velvet leaves along with 3 dozen filler sugar pollens. The flowers used are mulberry, fabric, foam, handmade and plastic. I have used glue gun as the adhesive for this entire project.......and look at the end result....so beautiful like looking at a garden.
I am putting my project up at the following blog challenges:

  1. Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #165 - Add a Flower
  2. Create and Makes Challenge #21 - Anything goes
  3. Papercraft Challenge #11 - Flowers

Sweet Memories - Mixed Media Layout | Scrapbook Layout

Hello everyone
I have a mixed media layout to share with you all today. I made this layout using products from ItsyBitsy from their home brand Little Birdie. They have amazing collection of handmade flowers and chipboard elements and I encourage everyone to give it a try.
I have used the Cottage Lace paper pack for this project. I used 2 sheets of same design to make the background. I used another sheet which was filled with beautiful coral colored flowers and fussy cut a few of them to build the central focal point of this layout.

I have used a chipboard frame in the center and altered it a little and then heat embossed it with ash grey embossing powder. I created layers and textures using leaf stencil and modelling paste. After thoroughly drying it, I added color splash sprays in Paprika, Hot Pink and Berry Blast. I layered all my elements and added splatters for the same colors, white and black acrylic colors.

To add more interest to my layout, I added white heat embossed chipboard shapes, pebbles, vellum leaves, Martini dazzle cocktail and Silver Stars- Twinkle Melange.I finished my layout with black heat embossed sentiment and fussy cut butterflies.....it so beautiful in real...wish you all could see it.

Here are list of supplies used which you can find at ItsyBitsy store.
I am putting my project up at the following blog challenges:-
  1. More Mixed Media Challenge -Anything Goes Optional pink - My layout has layers of pinks with splatters and finished with pink flowers and butterflies.

Happy Birthday - Masculine Mixed Media Card

Hello guys
Today I have a mixed media card to share with you all which is made for a special friend. I made this card for him keeping in mind that he loves flowers and so I tried to add masculine colors along with flowers and bling in my style.
I started with a standard A7 card base (5"x 7") using 170gsm White cardstock. Then, I layered beautiful vintage pattern papers from Eno Greetings that I bought a while ago. I added foam tape between the 2 papers to add more dimension.
I then did some stenciling using Stars stencil from MFT using 2 in 1 Modelling paste from ItsyBitsy. Then I spritzed it with Grape crush and Black Current Color splash from ItsyBitsy. Dried it all and then layered some pattern paper pieces.
I came back with cheesecloth and black jute twine and beautiful flowers from ItsyBitsy. I added a heart shaker element which I filled with assorted sequins and Dazzle cocktail. I finished the card with Die cut leaves using Curvy Leaves die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, sparkle gold dots and splatters(Black and white acrylic paints) .

I finished the inside with some more pattern paper. The sentiment used is heat embossed using Golden Tinsel embossing powder by Ranger.  To add more interest to the card, I added some glitter to the flowers and flower edges. Here is a small clip to see the cute card....
