Now for the process how I made this project.
I started this mixed media piece on a egg shaped chipboard piece which I fussy cut and gave it a coat of gesso. I then added layers and textures using chipboard pieces and cheesecloth. I gave it all a good coat of gesso and thoroughly dried it.

Then, I made the cross with 2 layers of chipboard, added gesso and then texture to it using a Prima Marketing Fading Floral stencil. I adhered it to the front using some gel medum, Once verything was dry, I started to color it using 3 Camel Artists acrylic paints - Cadmium Yellow Medium, Cobal Blue hue, Cadmium Yellow and Cadmium Orange. I mixed these colors with Tinted Metallic paint silver Oak to add a little shine and sparkle to this project.
Once everything was dry, I dry brushed my project with gesso and then added more highlights using Prima Metallique waxes - Vintage Gold and White Gold. The sentiment is handwritten by me and adhered using gel medium. That finishes my project and I hope you all find some inspiration in it. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day ahead.

Memories - Mixed Media Tag/ Shabby Chic

Hello guys
I have a mixed media tag today for you. This is a pink purple color scheme project with loads of flowers and sparkle and splatters. I have lately fallen in love with mixed media projects and cant stop making them....I have personally never done tags and this is my very first mixed media tag...so so happy to share this with you. I have made this as a inspiration for Lets Craft and Create Challenge #134 - Anything Goes = Option Mother's Day. To participate, please click HERE. I hope you all like it as well.

I started with a pattern paper from my stash from Eno Greetings...this paper was lying around for very long. I do not know what pack it belongs to, it has grey and whites stripes with light florish kinda pattern. I adhered it on a chipboard tag measuring 4.5" by 8". I distressed the edges and then added a coat of clear gesso. Once dried, I did some stencilling using Prima Marketing stencil and Modelling paste and left it to dry as well. I then, added Metallique paints from Prima Marketing. To add more interest I did some script stamping using Prima stamps.

I have used diecuts from Kaisercraft Violet crush, some flowers which I heat embossed in white on clear vellum, mulberry lillies and poppies and Handmade flowers from Little Birdie crafts. The sentiment frame is a Kaisercraft diecut as well.
The finishing touches came form White tiny pearls and Dazzle Cocktail glitter mix and splatter of acrylic paints and Gesso.  I also dry brushed all my flowers to bind everything together. My tag has so much shimmer and sparkle but unfortunately my camera failed to capture all the silver sparkle....I am so sad. I wish you all could see it in real.
I am putting up my project at the following blog challenges:-

  1. Words & Paintery February 2018 challenge  - Moodboard.
  2. Butterfly challenge - Spin the wheel with letter P - I have used pinks, purples and hints of peach with pattern papers and tiny pearls.

Thanks (Fall inspired thank you card)

Hello guys
I have a card to share with you all today....this is a Thank you card keeping the upcoming Thanksgiving in mind. I have made this card as a DT inspiration for Lets Craft and Create Blog where the theme this month is ANYTHING GOES + option FALL COLOURS/THANKFUL. Below is my take on this fun theme...... To participate in the on going challenge, please click HERE
I am putting my card up at following challenges:
  1. HLS November anything goes with dies challenge  - Used Curvy Leaf dies from Elizabeth Craft designs
  2. Scrapy Land Challenge #78 - Anything goes - Used Elizabeth craft design Curvy leaves die
  3. The Ribbon girl November Card challenge- Anything Goes
  4. The Sisterhood of crafters -Let the Sparkles Fly- I have used the frosting powder with loads of sparkle in it from Papericious - Rajni Chawla's Frosting Powder
  5. Word Art Wednesday - Week 308 - 309 - Anything Goes
  6. Allsorts Challenge Blog Week 442- Glitter - I have used the frosting powder with loads of sparkle in it from Papericious - Rajni Chawla's Frosting Powder

I started with a watercolor cardstock cut to A2 size panel and did some distress ink blending to achieve a seamless background. I have used Spiced Marmalade, Crushed Olive, Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo and Abandoned Coral distress inks. I spritzed it with some water and then lifted some color off the panel.
The leaves were randomly placed an diecut using the Curvy leaves dies from Elizabeth Craft designs on my bigshot. Then...was the fun part......using versamark, I added some Rajni Chawla's Frosting Powder on the diecut leaves as well as the front panel....randomly and heat set it. It is so much fun to achieve the frosting and all the shimmer and shine in just one step......love it. I also applied glossy accents to few of the leaf diecuts.
I then added my front panel to a white textured cardstock from ItsyBitsy and trimmed the panel 1/8"from all the sides. I mounted this panel on my A2 size white cardbase using some white craft foam to give the card some dimension.
The leaves were shaped and added back to the panel from where they were diecut. Finished my card with the Thanks sentiment from Die namics and some Mudra Craft sequins. I diecut the sentiment 4 times from the same white cardstock and piled them on each other to obtain a dimensional sentiment.
On the inside, I added the 1/8' sliver I cut initially from the panel...to add a little interest to the inside.
That finishes my card for today...I hope you liked it. Here is a small video clip to see the magic of the frosting powder on this card....

Welcome! Little one - Handmade Card.

Hello guys
Its all about BABIES this month and I have a handmade card this time to celebrate the arrival of the Little One/s which fill our hearts with love and joy......so here is what I made and this is also my DT inspiration for Lets Craft and Create Challenge blog where the theme is Child's Play all this month. Purple is by far my favorite color and since the baby themed card/ project are usually Blue and Pink, I thought to do something a little out of the box and made a card in my fav color - Purple!
You all can join in the blog challenge which will be running all month by clicking HERE.
Now, back to the card. I started with 270 gsm White cardstock cut to standard A2 size card base. For the front panel, I have used pattern paper from Papericious - Whimsical 6" X 6"paper pack. I have cut the paper to the size 4"by 51/4"and then dry embossed it with Sizzix embossing folder. Later I tied a White satin ribbon on the lower part of the paper and finished it into a cute bow. I mounted this panel on my front of the cardbase using some white fun foam sheet.
I did some die cutting now using Cottage Cutz Baby border die on a Purple cardstock and White cardstock. I mixed the 2 die cuts and adhered it on the front panel above the satin ribbon. To make the center element, I diecut few shapes from white, purple and design papers from the Whimsical collection using Spellbinders Nestabilities Scalloped Labels one, ItsyBisty Nested Stitched Circles and Sizzix basic dies. I added them on the panel using some foam tape to give it a little dimension.
On the center, I added a cute Teddy Bear Sticker from Handmades Sticker collection. I do not have the name as its an old collection and I cannot find it anywhere.
I finished my card with a Welcome sentiment from Mudra craft stamps stamped on a white cardstock with Grape Jelly dye ink from Memento and then matted it with some more design paper in green from the same paper pack. The inside of the card is kept pretty clean. I do not know why its looking so blue in the pictures...in real its Purple and so royal looking...But that's Camera with its own drawbacks.
