Happy Birthday Girl - Mini Album using Midnight Garden paper by Prima Marketing

Hello guys
I wish you all a happy and prosperous new year. I am here to share my new Birthday Photo Album which I made for a beautiful girl. This album is 8.5" by 8.5" by 3" in size and has 4 very interactive fun pages and holds 35 pictures and a little more.....

I used Midnight Garden collection from Prima Marketing to decorate my project...these papers are amazing and are foiled in the 12"by 12"pack...a must have if you are looking to make boho chic or shabby chic projects. The box is 10"by 10" by 41/4" in size and made from scratch. I decorated the front of my box to give it a festive look....love the final look of this gorgeous project. I used little more than half the paper pack and 2 packs of Ephemera to build my project, along with black cardstock and a few papers from the Papericious Wedding collection. Most of the flowers used are handmade or from ItsyBitsy and Prima Marketing. Here is a video walkthrough of my album and a few close ups of this project...hope you all like it.

I am putting this up at the following blog challenge:

Unforgettable Memories - Mixed media canvas | Starfish canvas

Hey guys
I have a fun canvas to share with you all today which I made this for my niece who is so fond of beaches and actually any waterbodies....but since I did not have her pic...I  added a pic of a cute baby girl I took for the internet (Royalty free image). This canvas was so fun to make and I am very happy with they way it has turned out to be.....I wish you all could see this canvas in real...there is so much texture and dimensions and layers to this project..the camera can capture only a fraction of its beauty.

So, I started by drawing my own starfish on a 12" by 12" sunboard and then I cut it out. To add more strength to it, I traced this same shape on a chipboard and cut it out as well. I adhered the two surfaces together to get a sturdy canvas. This starfish is inspired by a few images of starfishes I saw on the Nat Geo channel...here are a few similar images I found on the internet. I loved the shape of this starfish.....asymmetrical but so beautiful.
I primed the surface and added a little texture to it using crackle paste. I also stenciled the entire starfish using modelling paste and a dotted stencil....to mimic the body of a starfish. I let it all air dry...the crack are much better in this way but you can always speed it up using a heat gun. Once everything was thoroughly dry, I added a little color to my starfish using Lindy's Magical shaker Gueten Tag Teal in a few areas to highlight the texture. In other places, i used Sandstone chalk paint by Little birdie craft.....to give it a sandy beachy feel. I added a couple of layers and once was happy with it, i dried it all thoroughly.

Now is my favorite part where I assembled all my embellishments. I started with shells and cheesecloth along with some fine fishnet. To add my picture, I added a lot of scraps to make my base for the picture and then added a lot of twine to frame my pictures.I added a lot of dimension so that my picture stands up against all the embellishments. The, I added chipboard background that looks like scallops and ornate frame in the background to frame my layout which are mebossed in white, gold and pink embossing powders.

I made my own vine using leaves and flowers and added that to frame my picture and then added more flowers in pinks, blues and beige from Prima Marketing and some are handmade by me. then i filled in the gaps using a mixture of art stones and 3d gel and gesso. Once everything was dry, I added a little pink and blue color to the stones as well to bind it all together. At this point, I added a few more clay corals I made a while back and melange stones in few places which I colored in gold.
I added the cute little starfish and tucked in the small clock amongst the flowers and dried everything thoroughly.

To add more texture to the canvas, I added mini art stones at few random places and then dry brushed everything with gesso. The finishing touches were a sprinkle of glass glitter an fine gold glitter in few places and the sentiment heat embossed in white. I hope you guys like this canvas as I am totally in love with this. Here is a quick clip to see it much better.
I am putting this up at the following blog challenges:

SteamPunk Mixed Media File Folder

Hey guys
Today I am sharing a mixed media file folder with you all. This folder is 12" by 8" in size with a 2" spine and I altered it using a ton of mixed media mediums and techniques.
I have used 3 different stencils to add texture to the file....alone with cheese cloth and twine. Here you have a look at the back where you can see all the different textures. I have given the entire file a rusty steampunk kinda look which is so fun to make.

Then, I added a lot of metal and chipboard embellishments to the file and tried to bring the focus on the center pocket watch element. The beautiful Industrial stars are from Dusty Attic which work so well on this folder.....glad I saved them for a while. I have used a lot of metal screws, buttons and washers along with clay pieces to add more interest to the project.

Once all the layout was built, I coated it all with black gesso and then started adding colors using Lindys Magical shakers and Itsybitsy metallic paints. It took me some time to get it all done and once I was happy with it all, I added some shine using Art Alchemy Waxes and finished it all with Tim Holtz stickers.....Really happy with the way it has turned out.

Here is a small click so you all can see it much better.
I am putting this up at the following blog challenges:-
  1. More Than Words July Challenge - Discover and Old Stash - I have used a lot of stuff from my old stash. The metal embellishments from ItsyBitsy were bought an year back. The stencils I used are also old Prima stencil and the file folder used holds all my crafty bills and it has been with me since 2015.....now it looks amazing.
  2. The Dusty Attic July 2019 Challenge - Moodboard - The moodboard inspired me to make this project. I have used the colors from the moodboard but my project being steampunk, the lloks do not look so vibrant and has a rusty feel to it.

Baby Girl Mini Album and Keepsake Boxes

Hello guys
I ma so excited to share this mini album and keepsake boxes with you all today. This is made on commission and is flying all the way to Germany to hold the memories of a sweet baby girl.
I am joining the Mini Album Makers Challenge - November 2018 with this project.

I have a 9"by 9"mini album with 4 1/2"spine which had 6 very interactive pages that can hold 120 plus pictures. Along with this, my client also requested for 4 keepsake boxes which very not very small and so I made 4 boxes which are each 4"by 4"by 4" and can hold booties, mittens, hospital tags, hairlocks and so much more very easily. To house this all, I made a 2 storied box which measures 10.5"by 11.5"by 10.5" in size (l x b x h)

The entire project is made using Prima Marketing Heaven Sent 2 collection - A4 paper pad, 6 by 6 paper pad. 4 x 6 journalling cards, 3 x 4 journalling cards, ephemeras, chipboard stickers, word stickers and flowers all from this collection.

Apart from this, I have used white handmade papers, cardstocks, embellishments, flowers, laces, stickers and more from ItsyBisty craft store.

Had so much fun making this project...I hope you all will enjoy watching the video flip-through of this project.

Thank you for stopping by..have a fun day ahead.
