" Believe in Yourself " - Mixed Media Canvas Tutorial | DT Inspiration for ItsyBitsy

Hey guys
Today, on Valentine's Day i am sharing a mixed media canvas with you all which I made to celebrate love. We all wait for the one person who will be there with us forever...someone who will have your back, listen to you and come what may never leave your side have but most of us fail to realize that we have that person within ourselves.
I am basically celebrating Valentine's Day with my very first Valentine...MYSELF. Its sounds silly but I think even when you have no one...you will always have yourself...ALWAYS AND FOREVER so LOVE YOURSELF and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.......and TRUST YOURSELF.
This is also my DT Inspiration post for ItsyBitsy and you can read a full tutorial to make this project by clicking HERE
I love pinks...its my fav color and I tried a lot to restrain myself from using it...but I finally gave into the temptation. I wanted to give this canvas a very delicate and feminine look and so I have used multiple shades of pinks, peaches, coral and whites along with hints of black, grey and beige. To achieve this look I used lacy background paper and a stencil to mimic the look.
It was really fun to play with flowers and embellishments to bring in a feminine look....and the sentiment was framed and mounted with layers of papers to add more interest to the focal sentiment. The final touches came from a lot of sequins, glitter, mico beads and splatters. Here are some more closeups of my project...I hope you all like it.

I am putting this project up at the following blog challenges :-
  1. More Than Words February Challenge - Always and Quote
  2. Mixed media Warriors #37 - All You Need is Love

Always In My Heart - Explosion Box | Romantic | Garden

Hello everyone
I am sharing a romantic Explosion Box with you all. This one is made for a client who is celebrating her first Valentine's Day with her Husband. I made this box to give an idea of " A Romantic Date in a Garden" and this is also inspired by the garden in my campus.......with green grass, flowers and butterflies...atleast it looks like that in summer.
My box is 6" by 6" by 6" and has 3 layers which in all hold 24 mats. So you can add 24 to 48 pictures.....but I would prefer you to add 24 pics and journal on the back of the mats. Apart from the picture mats, I also have tiny tags included in the box..they are so cute. I have used beautiful papers from Eno Greetings called as Blue Florals..these are really adorable and the quality is also very nice.

I decorated the entire project with handmade mulberry flowers from ItsyBitsy and other local craft stores in India. I also used gold foil cardstock to add soem shine to my project without making it very blingy. I have also added gold foil leaves....these bring so much extra to this project.

The focal sentiment " Always in My Heart" is also from ItsyBitsy which I have gold heat embossed. Love the way it sits on the entwined wooden hearts.....

The decorative element int he center is my fav.....I adore those cutesy butterflies. They are to die for... The bench I have used is from Mudra Crafts and the lamp post is from ItsyBitsy. I really love the way it all brings the entire garden theme together....
I have tried to create a small garden on every flap of every layer...filled with flowers and grass and art pebbles. I made sure to add browns to complete the look of a true garden.....Here are a few more pics of the flaps.

I hope you all like it as much as I do. Here is a small video of my fun box....I hope you all will watch it.
I am entering this project at the following challenges:

  2. Allsorts of Blog challenge # 505 - Love

Black Romance Mixed Media Scrapbook

Hello guys
I am so excited to share this project with you all......a mixed media scrapbook album where there are layers, textures and embellishments on every page.....ohhhh SUPER FUN!!!!
This scrapbook is 12" x 12" in size and 3" in thickness. The scrapbook had 6 beautifully decorated mixed media pages and each can hold 1 to 2 pictures an few secret message tags. This project is a custom order for a special client who asked me to do what I love but include black in my creation with more focus on the pictures.....so I built this Black Beauty....YUM YUM YUM!!!
This is a romance album and I wanted to give it this futuristic feel......as she wanted to put pictures from her married life from the coming important events in the FUTURE.....thats good planning I must say. Here is a video walkthrough of this album.
I have used Eno Greetings Retro Series paper pack  along with plain black cardstock to build this album. Every page holds 1 or 2 5" x 7" pictures and I have also added secret message tags on few pages. This album holds a total of 18 pictures...but a lot more can be accommodated if few interactive elements be added to pages....but my client wanted only 1 or 2 pictures per page and to keep all the focus on the pictures.

I have used a lot of embellishments from ItsyBitsy and Prima Marketing to decorate my cover. The colors used are from Lindy's Stamp Gang - Magical Shakers and Tinted Metallic paints from ItsyBitsy. To give it more shine, I used art alchemy waxes from Finnabair......supplies are listed below.
Each page has a lot of texture and dimension created using splattering, stamping, stenciling, heat embossing and embellishing.....a lot of effort had gone into making this album....and i hope you all like it. Here are a few pictures of the pages.
I am putting my album up at the following challenges -

Beautiful Memories - Gift Box

Hello guys
Today I have a Big beautiful gift box to share with you all today. This box is custom made for a client who wanted to fit in some beautiful gifts for her beau. This box is huge and measures 15" by 13" by 8" and weights 2kgs as the lid is pretty heavily embellished.
The box is made from scratch using 1500gsm chipboard and handmade paper from ItsyBitsy craft store. I built my entire box using white handmade paper and chipboard and then decorated with the floral linen paper and colorful cardstock (Lilac and Turquoise). To further enhance the look, I gave it all a quarter inch border of gold glitter paper.
To add texture to the box, I did some senticlling using modelling paste and script stencil on all the sides, base as well as the top. I embellished the lid using a lot of handmade flowers, doilies, diecuts, sequins and glitter, cardstock banners, pearls, mdf birdcage and more.
I love embellishing such boxes because it gives me an opportunity to recycle and use a lot of stuff that I hoard. The pearls used are a part of home decor " TORAN " (Hindi: तोरण) (origin: Sanskrit. torana, from tor, pass), which is a decorative door hanging in Hinduism, usually decorated with marigolds and mango leaves, or a string that is tied on the door with the flower on it as a part of traditional Hindu culture which is for decoration and beautification.  They can be made of fabrics, pearls, beads or metals or any other embellishments.
The MDF bird cage I used here is actually part of a tag which adorned a fancy birdcage lamp I purchased.....it was too good to throw away. A few flowers used here were actually reused from few of the gift boxes I got this year for DIWALI. I hoard a lot of beautiful elements that I get and reuse them. There is some thing amazing when you see the random pieces you use coming together and becoming like they always belonged together....MAGIC!!!!!!
Here is a video clip to see the box upclose..I hope you guys enjoy watching it.
I am putting this box up the following challenges:-
  1. UnstampaBelles November Challenge #85 launched: Boxes, parcels or bag.
  2. Rhedd's Creative Spirit November Challenge
  3. HLS November Mixed Media Challenge - Birds
