Anniversary Explosion Box | Fairy Garden | Wedding Anniversary Gift

Hello guys
Today I have a new explosion box to share with you all. This is a fairy themed explosion box to celebrate wedding anniversary and it is loaded with 40 picture mats and 8 journaling tags to cherish memories.
This box measures 6.5" by 6.5" by 6.5' and has 3 layers. I have used  a lot of mixed media techniques to decorate this box. Most of the flowers and embellishments came from ItsyBitsy and Papericious while the papers are from Eno Greetings.

I wanted to give this fairytale romance kinda feel to this box so I opted for the papers which had a Parisian feel to it and had a lot of images of Eiffel tower and roses in it. Fairies added the required whimsy to complete this project which came from the new Fairy Sparkle collection from ItsyBitsy.
Most of the flowers are also for the coordinating paper collection and they are just amazing.

On the lid, I did a lot of layering with papers, gold foiled cardstock and them chipboard background embellishments. It was pretty just as is,,,but I added flowers and leaves to complete the look with the fairy and sentiment. Each and every layers and side is dry brushed with gesso to bind it all together.....even the papers have some touches of gesso and some stamping with distress oxide inks.

On the inside, the main decor element is a handmade archway adorned with fairies. The Archway is made with thermocol and cheesecloth....painted with acrylic colors. The pebbles are made from paper clay and the entire structure is adhered with heavy gel medium with strategic placement in made such that the structure remains stable and strong.

Every layer on the inside has intricate details and I tried my best so you can see it on camera...but the pictures however do not do justice to this beautiful piece. These is lot of pebbles and moss that I have used to add the touch of garden along with flowers and leaves. The Faux stitching is my favorite technique and I love the way it adds more texture to this project.

I have a video to show this project much better and I recommend you to watch it.
I am putting this project up at the following blog challenges:

  1. Allsorts Challenge Week 535 - Soft Pastels - My entire project has soft pastels uses except for neutral color of brown.

  3. Mini Album Makers - June challenge - I have a explosion box album that I want to enter in this challenge.

Always In My Heart - Explosion Box | Romantic | Garden

Hello everyone
I am sharing a romantic Explosion Box with you all. This one is made for a client who is celebrating her first Valentine's Day with her Husband. I made this box to give an idea of " A Romantic Date in a Garden" and this is also inspired by the garden in my campus.......with green grass, flowers and butterflies...atleast it looks like that in summer.
My box is 6" by 6" by 6" and has 3 layers which in all hold 24 mats. So you can add 24 to 48 pictures.....but I would prefer you to add 24 pics and journal on the back of the mats. Apart from the picture mats, I also have tiny tags included in the box..they are so cute. I have used beautiful papers from Eno Greetings called as Blue Florals..these are really adorable and the quality is also very nice.

I decorated the entire project with handmade mulberry flowers from ItsyBitsy and other local craft stores in India. I also used gold foil cardstock to add soem shine to my project without making it very blingy. I have also added gold foil leaves....these bring so much extra to this project.

The focal sentiment " Always in My Heart" is also from ItsyBitsy which I have gold heat embossed. Love the way it sits on the entwined wooden hearts.....

The decorative element int he center is my fav.....I adore those cutesy butterflies. They are to die for... The bench I have used is from Mudra Crafts and the lamp post is from ItsyBitsy. I really love the way it all brings the entire garden theme together....
I have tried to create a small garden on every flap of every layer...filled with flowers and grass and art pebbles. I made sure to add browns to complete the look of a true garden.....Here are a few more pics of the flaps.

I hope you all like it as much as I do. Here is a small video of my fun box....I hope you all will watch it.

Simple Exploding box for Baby Shower / Baby Announcement

Hello guys
I have a cute little exploding box to share with you all today. This box is perfect for baby showers or baby announcement to write blessings for the baby or the mother to be and fill it up with some sweets.

The exploding box is 5" by 5" by 5" on all sides and when it opens it holds a box in the center which is 4" by 4" by 4" and can hold 250gms of sweets and treats. The exploding box opens to reveal 4 sides on the inside. 2 of these are decorated with flowers and baby embellishments like bib, bottle and onesie which are gold heat embossed to add more shimmer and shine. on the other 2 sides...a message or a blessing can be written for  the mother or the baby.

The lid of the inside box is decorated with gold heat embossed stroller and some pretty flower arrangement on a Prima doily diecut. The outside box is also decorated with a gold heat embossed stork with a baby bundle and beautiful flower arrangement. I have used a lot of diecuts from Spellbinders Nested labels die. I embossed a few of them and then layered them to get a more dimensional effect. I also dry embossed a few of these diecuts and rubbed a little cotton cany distress ink to highlight the raised part to add more interest. I created this fun quilt like effect on the lids of the boxes whihc is by far my most fav part of the project and I hope you all like it too.

I have used Pebbles Basics stack pattern paper to decorate the box and matching cardstock from Fabriano Elle Erre.
