Perfect - Scrapbook Layout | GDT post for More Than Word Challenge April 2021

 Hello guys

I am back after a very long time...I dunt blog as much being inclined more to Youtube and Instagram. Also the pandemic has brought a little slowdown in my crafting...Cant find so much time and I used to.

Anyways.....today I have made a project for More Than Words Challenge blog as a Guest Designer for April 2021. I have a mixed media scrapbook layout to share and I actually made this for my friends new born baby boy....I hope you all like it.

I started with a white cardstock and created my own background using lindys magicals. in a rainbow format. I followed this months sketch at MTW and created this layout using flowers, washi tapes, stamps, stencil and baby embellishments. This was super fun and very colorful to make.

Here are some closeups of my layout...hope you like it.

Handmade Gaddi Box/ Cash Gifting Box/ Cash Envelope for Weddings

 Hello there

Happy Diwali to you all. I am sharing my new project today...a gaddi box for cash gifting. Though the original purpose of this was to accommodate money bundles.....I however feel it will be an apt gift box or chocolate box. You can click here to go to the previous post where I have few more colors in this design.

I made my own pattern paper this time and it was so much fun to do that. I used Sprays and shakers from Lindy's Stamp Gang along with gold stencilling and splatters. To make these boxes, I have used 300 gsm white cardstock .The the ribbons, chipboard embellishments and most of the flowers are from Itsybitsy as well. I have gold heat embossed the chipboard embellishments using Ranger Gold embossing powder. I have also added diecut leaves using Curvy Leaves Die from Elizabeth craft designs. I did use gold foiled papers and iridescent glitter to add a lot of sparkle and shine.

This box is big enough to hold 100 notes of INR 2000....thts a lot of money to gift someone. That is it from me today....I hope you all liked it. Thank you for visiting me and have a great week ahead.

Just Relax - Mixed Media Layout

 Hello guys

I am sharing my new mixed media layout today which is inspired by blog challenge moodboards and I am also putting up my layout at these challenges. The design and choice of words with picture is inspired the Sketch mentioned at More Than Words Challenge for August 2020 and the color scheme and theme is inspired by the moodboard at Lindy's Color Challenge.

I have used a picture of my nephew and myself....this is atleast 10 years old. Though I wanted to add another image of us building sandcastles and chilling on the Juhu Beach(Located in Mumbai, India).....he is a teenager now and wasnt comfortable with me adding his picture playing in underpants...so I zerored in on another picture where only our hands are seen and decided to use only that...but once the post is public..I am going to add the picture I earlier decided to use and give the layout to him. He is my baby...I love him.

The Lindy's moodboard inspired me to do a beachy layout and I wanted to try to use the sketch at MTW challenge because I have never done a sketch challenge before...It was super fun and took considerably less time to build the layout.

There is a square pattern in the layout that repeats itself 3 times...I decided to replicate it using 3 small stars which symbolise starfish. Also there is circle pattern that repeats itself, also 3 times and I added melange stones at those 3 spots to represent this pattern. I think I have tried my best to replicate the pattern and also combined it with elements and pattern from the Lindy's moodboard like inclusion of stars, chickenwire, sand and 3 colors.

I started with my pattern paper from ItsyBitsy and created my own background with stencil, mediums and pastes. Then I added my colours and splatters in various places. I used a lot of dimension to build arrangement...I feel it adds depth and defination to any project. I did add sand on my image as well as on the background in various places....adds so much to the project. Once My arrangement was done, I added finishing touches and more splatters. I was tempted to add stamping but I refrained from it...just to see if I can try to make a layout with no stamps....I guess I can.

Mixed Media Canvas - Make a Wish

Hello guys
Welcome back to my blog....today I have a mixed media canvas to share with you all. I made this canvas for my sister and brother-in-law for their wedding anniversary..which is today. I wasn't able to find anything to gift her....so I thought to make this canvas for her...she always appreciates and motivates me and I thought hi canvas s would make a perfect gift for her.
I did use a lot of art stones and paper clay pieces I made using moulds from Redesign by Prima...they have some amazing designs and I just use them like everywhere. To build my background, I did use White crackle paste in random areas and sprinkled some art stones using Gel medium....once everything was dry...I added my Lindy's squirts......oh those squirts are filled with magical shine...I am so happy that I have them all. I dried everything and then, layered all my pieces and pattern papers. I am really excited with the way this has turned out to be.....I was a very relaxing process and I am hopeful to make a tutroial for the next one I make....fingers crossed
So...I had this beautiful image of this girl who is blowing dandelions and I was inspired by that to make this canvas. I sorted out the primary colors to use and then everything just fell into place. I made my own pattern paper which was really fun and something I rarely do....a lot of stamping...stenciling and color sprays gave me this beautiful paper which actually completes my canvas.

Be a Dreamer - Mixed Media Journal Spread.

Hey guys
Today I have a new art journal spread to share with you all. I made this for Lindy's Gang April 2020 challenge keeping the challenge moodboard in mind. I call this page Be a Dreamer...and I think we all want to dream a healthy life on the other side of this door....atleast thats what I want to see on the other side

I started with priming my page with white gesso and used old book pages and washi tapes to create my background. To add more texture and layers, I added crackle paste in a few places and also stencilled using pink tinted modelling paste. To add more interest, I used purples and bold pinks and added some paint brush strokes.
To create more layers, I added stamping in various places using Jet Black and Smoke Grey Archival inks and also inked my edges. Then, I built my focal point from the center fold of the page....I used a pretty door from Life Stories by Mintay along with with some other elements from the same collection. I added some diecuts using Fantasy dies, butterflies, flowers and cheesecloth to create more interest. Finished it all with splatters and Tim Holtz motivational stickers.

Here are some closeup shots....you can see all the intricate details like cheesecloth, splatters, washi tapes, stamping, stencilling, laces and more. I felt very happy looking at this page but I broke my camera and had to take the pics using my mobile phone....I did my best but the spread in real is much better to look at.

I am putting this up at the

Hello guys
I hope you are all safe at home...I am safe at home as well. I try to make art and shift my focus into more positive things beacuse I was getting kinda mopey. Anyhow....what would usually cheer me up is new craft supplies and I have a lot of my supplies stuck in transit as the courier and postal services are suspended. I waiting to see my new stencils and waxes and Fluid acrylics by Finnabair specially....well then the wait seems to be never ending.

So today, I am sharing Mixed media Art Journal Cover today with you all. I was inspired by April Art Recipe at Finnabair blog....how I wish I had the new stencils and Fluid acrylics. Last time I did a art journal cover, I made it for myself and I tried to take inspiration from the Spring season...this time around I am inspired by Winters and Night skies.

I also made a small book mark to go along with this journal....looks so pretty together....
Here I am sharing a few images of my gorgeous journal also with a small clip to see it upclose.
The focal element is a delicate chipboard clock dial with a stunning moon in the center made from the Finnabair mould -Stars and Moon. I also made and used a crescent moon and stars to create this pretty starry night.....I am in love with how it looks.
