Christmas in July - Handmade card.

Hello everyone
Today I have another handmade card for you which is inspired by the thought of " Christmas in July". So I made some Christmas cards which are very simple and easy to do and I have so much fun making them. This is the first of the many cards which are lined up.
I am putting this card up at the following challenges:-
  1. Addicted to Stamps and more Challenge #248 - Holiday
  2. Cute Card Thursday Challenge -#284 - Anything Goes
  3. HLS June 2017 Christmas Challenge - Optional Twist - Tree
  4. DLART June Linky Challenge - Anything goes
  5. Inky Chicks Challenge #85 - Christmas
  6. Word Art Wednesday  Challenge #288-289 - Anything Goes
  7. Simon says stamp Wednesday challenge - Anything goes
So to make this card, I started with a standard A2 size grey card base. I then heat embossed some pine leaves with Ranger White Super fine heat embossing power on a grey cardstock cut to 41/4" by 51/2". I made my own little christmas tree which was peeking from one of the edges of the card. Then I also heat embossed the sentiment using the same. Thats all I had to do.....Then was the fun part...to decorate the tree with ornaments and I used Mudra sequins to decorate the tree and sprinkled a few here and there.
Then I trimmed my card by 1/8" on all sides and layered it on some gold glitter cardstock. Before the layering, I added red organza ribbon bow tied around the bottom of the card with sequins in the center.
I mounted this to my card base and my card was ready. Simple and quick and so festive....feeling like Christmas in July.

Supplies used :-
1 Grey 220gsm cardstock
2 Christmas decor - Mudra Stamps
3 Sequins- Silver (My Stash) and Gold - Mudra stamps

Wedding Card with a Box

Hello everyone
I am terribly sorry for not writing any sooner. Was working on this big order and it had occupied most of my time and the rest I was indulging myself with Diwali celebrations. I am still in hurry and so this will be a short a sweet post. My new project is wedding cards with an easel opening box attached to the card itself.
The dimensions for this box is 7.5" by 5.5" and 1" thickness. There are 2 leaflets or this card and they are 5.75" by 3.75".
These are multiple layers of cardstock which was used to create layering effect as well as to add to the sturdiness of the card. The first leaflet is adhered tot he face of the box and the second is hidden in the pocket behind the first card. I have added an eyelet as well as some red organza ribbon and gold pearl string as a makeshift tassel.
I have incorporated white gold pearl cardstock which are 270 gsm and Red cardstock 250 gsm to build the entire card. I have created my own background using WOW gold embossing powder, WOW embossing gun and Versamark inkpad. I did some repetitive stamping using a single stamp to create the background effect. I have used the flourish from the Vintologic stamp set from hampton art for this purpose.
To create the easel box, I have used chipboard and White iris cardstock. I center box is 6.5" by 4.5" in size and 0.75" in height. I have used gold net fabric to cover the entire box and then added a white gold pearl paper as the base inside the box. The bottom of the box is chipboard which is covered with pearl paper and then layered with red cardstock. For the opening of the box, I have used some white iris cardstock to create the hinges.
The card is completed with a simple red organza ribbon, Mft die cut florishes with are glitter gold embossed and a gold bead.
This box is held by magnets.
That's all the information about this project.
I am putting up this project at Mod Squad Challenge Blog and Ranganjali.

Mister and Missis - Mini album and a Box featuring Papericious Flora season pattern paper.

Hello everyone
It certainly has been a busy month for me with work and festivals.....I try very hard to blog about the products I make but sometimes...few of them get missed. I am particularly very fond of this one and I made sure I write a post about this one....Presenting a new mini album featuring The flora season pattern paper from Papericious....isn't it gorgeous. This album is wedding gift but I didnt want it to be restricted to only wedding photos and so I added the Label Mister and Missis...so its perfect for any photo as a couple.
I do not have much time to write a tutorial for this mini-albums but I will certainly add pictures and list of supplies used. I have followed the page layout by Ginger Ropp from My sister scrappers. I love the way this album turned out and I hope my client is happy with it. This is the second album I have made using The flora season- pattern paper and I just love this paper pack....beautiful pastel shades and very pretty.
This album and the box was a custom designed for a wedding and was a rush order.....but I have tried my best to capture few pics before it left my door.  This album is decorated using resin frames, Mdf embellishments, mulberry flowers, rhinestones, laces, pearls, metal chrarms and other little things which add little details tot his projects. I have used doilies in this project which I think looks perfect as a picture mat and peeks from behind the photos.....super cute.

I am also putting up this album for Itsy bitsy challenge#1 which want us to use Little birdie chipboard elements. I have used the Chipboard ornate frame on the Box cover as well as inside the Album on one of the pages.

Treasure Chest

Hello everyone
How are you all doing? I hope you all are enjoying the festivities going on in India....Ganeshotsav is almost over and I cant wait for Navratri to begin...garba, dandya raas and awesome food. This is the my most favorite time of the year when festivals are being celebrated in India with so much energy and excitement.

I have got so engrossed in festivities that I just tend to ignore my work and work commitments and projects tend to near completion slowly and sometimes I just give myself due dates just to tell me to complete it. So today, I am posting a project on which I have been working on for almost 2 months......on and off. Because it was not on order, so I had the luxury to sideline it when I had other things or rush orders on my mind. I decided I had to give myself an ultimatum to take this project seriously......with so much festivities......I am like a child and get so engrossed.....I forget everything.....and I finally completed it on 2nd September....HIGH FIVE......
I got busy with Ganeshotsav and finally got sometime today to write a post about this beautiful project I have made for my friend. It was supposed to be her Belated Birthday gift......Well I am not so delayed after all....Just a delay of 2 months....lol. My BFF is a stationary hoarder and I feel if I rob her, my entire future generation can go without spending anything on stationary items....She has so many pencils, pens, erasers, colors, crayons, diaries and other stuff.....I am sure she doesn't even have a count of it and one day when I asked her to show me her hoarded gold......she had stuffed them in plastic bags and kept them someplace she couldn't locate. That is when I decided, she needed a treasure chest to store her stuff and I started making one for her from scratch.
So, this treasure chest is not a small sized box.....its a 3 layered box which has lot of space....but I am sure not enough for her collection.....but I am sure it will be of some use to her. I have built this box from scratch.....It took me 2 days to figure out what I wanted to do and how I wanted it to be. I designed it myself....make some mistakes on the way and it helped me to build it better.
This box measures 17" x  12" x 14" ( length x breadth x  height) in dimensions. I have used sunboard and 1500 gms paper board which I have bought from Anupam Stationary stores. to make the box. The entire outer box is made using a sandwich of sunboard ans card board to obtain more durability and strength to the box. To make the inner partitions and flaps as well as small boxes and the other flap to attach the lock is made using the card board. The total weight of this box without anything inside it is 4 kgs.
 FIRST LAYER/SHELF
I have used red tacky tapes, white adhesive and silicon glue for all purposes for this box. Handmade paper is used to cover the box on the inside as well as outside. pattern paper from Eno greetings is used to add some decoration and to cover the boxes. I have done some stamping on this box as well...used Fiskars stamp to add more pattern and borders to this box. Stenciling is done using distress inks in watnut stain, vintage photo, hickory smoke, black soot, old paper and antique linen. I have used same colors on the top and bottom but to obtain a different appearance, I gave the lower part of box a coat of white gesso, and then stenciled over it. That is how the colors look different.
SECOND LAYER/SHELF

To embellish the box, I made some corners from black chipboard and gave it a coat of glossy accents to make it look shiny. Did some decoration with black satin ribbon, polka dotted paper tape and Brown gingham pattern paper tapes. Those little golden flowers were in my stash and i have used them to add more interest to the chest.
THIRD LAYER/SHELF

I have used chipboard letters and colored them using black pigment ink pad and then added a layer of glossy accents on it. To add more interest to it, I added some micro beads on them in bronze and golden color and mounted them on layers of black and white handmade paper. These were then mounted on the box using foam tape. More chunky glitter in black and silver is added to the box using some liquid adhesive.

I have filled this box is some gift from my side which include handmade diaries, decoupaged pencils and more things which are only for my BFF's eyes and ears......can't disclose. This chest has 4 hinges and 3 latches added to it as well as some brads to embellish the name board. All the latches and hinges are held by little screws.
