Happy 50th Birthday Album featuring Papericious Pretty Basics pattern paper (For a Lady)

Hello guys
I have been a little caught up with work lately and haven't been able to blog as much as I would have liked. I apologize for the same and hope to post more often. So here is a new project I did which is a 6"x 8"Mini Album with a box and 9 specific tags which are placed in the box. The album holds around 40 pics and 12 tags in 5 interactive pages. This album holds few 5"x 7"pics and 4"by 4"pics while most of the pics are 6" by 4"in size. This album was made to celebrate 50th Birthday of a very special lady and was gifted to her by her daughter. Since it has many pictures on the pages, I have chosen to hide them.
I am putting up this project for Monthly challenge at
1  Papericious - Birthday Wishes
2  Allsorts of blog challenge and their theme is Ladies and Girls.
3 The Ribbon Girl - Anything Goes

The spine is 4 3/4"and the covers are 6"by 8". The pages are 5"by 7"in size and have lots of pockets and flipouts. The box is 9"by 6" by 6"in size and has a partition to hold all the extra tags.I have used Papericious Pretty Basics pattern paper for this project along with few solid colored cardstock from Itsybitsy. To build the album I have used white 230gsm Iris Paper and for the box I have used White handmade paper from Itsybitsy. The inside of the box and the album cover is covered with Pink hand made paper again from Itsybitsy.

I have made all the flowers used inside this album using sizzix bigshot and flower dies. I have made around 120 to 150 flowers for the album from the same paper used to make the album and cover. The only exception to this is the flowers on the album cover which are bought from Itsybitsy. The youthful word is chipboard diecut which are covered with the patterm paper and fussy cut. The no 50 is Mdf diecut bought from a local store. All the perals used on ethe cover as well as flower centers are from Itsybitsy. The florishes are  cut using MFT die and my Bigshot machine. All in all I have cut around 120 to 150 florishes for this album.

All the photomats are given color on the edge using Memento dye inks. The spine has laces which are bought from a local fabric store. All the ribbons used are from Itsybitsy and the charms are from A1 craft. There are a few envelopes tucked inside this album to make space for letters. These envelopes are made from handmade tissue paper.

Mixed media layout- inspiration.

Hello everyone
I am back with a new project today and it is a mixed media layout....this one is made to celebrate friendship and I really hope it reflects that...... I have a lot of pictures taken and I hope you guys enjoy it. I am also writing down the procedure and supplies used to make this project. I am entering this project at monthly challenge at Papericious blog- Make it 3D, Itsybitsy challenge, Scrapping4fun challenge #83 and Addicted to stamps.
I started with pattern paper from Papericious Wedding paper pack. I distressed it on the edges using a Tim Holtz distressing tool. Brushed the paper with a coat of white gesso. Allowed it to dry completely and then I did some stenciling on the paper using a feather stencil and a script stencil both from Itsybitsy and some texture paste (Home made by me).
Further to add texture I did some heat embossing using Prima Marketting stamps and Gold Tinsel embossing powder from Ranger. I also stamped at a few places with scallop circle stamp using Black archival ink. Used a little micro beads to add some water dripping effects and a little sand grains like texture at a few places.
Once everything was thoroughly dried, I added Color Splash colors from Itsybitsy....I just used Tangerine and Ocean Mist.

I made my own pattern papers for matting the photo....I have used distress inks and few different stamps to make my own papers. I have distressed the edges of all the pieces to give them more dimension.
The bottom most paper is made by stamping script stamp from Prima Marketing on white Iris cardstock using Rich Cocoa Momento dye ink.
The rainbow effect is obtained by ink blending Squeezed lemonade, mermaid lagoon and Spun sugar on white Iris cardstock. I then heat embossing Kaisercraft stamp Botanical using white embossing power from Ranger.
The butterfly stamp from Kaisercraft is stamped on white iris cardstock using Pink Gumball dye ink from Ranger to get the pink butterfly paper.
The uppermost piece of paper is made by stenciling versamark on white iris cardstock and heat embossing with clear embossing powder from Wow. I then ink blended Mermaid lagoon distress ink on the paper.
I arranged all the pieces of paper on top of each other. I added chipboard pieces in between layers to add dimension.
Then comes the fun part.....embellishments and flowers... i have used doilies, mulberry flowers, Mft flourish diecuts, resin frames and flowers, pearls, mdf butterfly diecut, butterflies and much more.....loved this bit and I throughly enjoyed myself.

Happy button is from Papericious, the little metal embellishment is from Eno greetings, laces and trims are from Itsybitsy and so are many little embellishments used.
The four words are hand written on white iris paper and then distressed on the edges with antique linen distress ink. The words are written with waterproof permanent black pen and then given a edge with gold pen. The words are matted on black chipboard pieces and then coated with glossy accents.
To add the final touches, I have used clear Wink of Stella at a few places as well as some some Twinklets Diamond dust
I am adding a little video of the project where you will be able to see it a littermore closely. However due to bad cold and cough, I do not have an audio walkthrough....I hope you all like this and thank you for visiting me. Have a good week ahead....

Mister and Missis - Mini album and a Box featuring Papericious Flora season pattern paper.

Hello everyone
It certainly has been a busy month for me with work and festivals.....I try very hard to blog about the products I make but sometimes...few of them get missed. I am particularly very fond of this one and I made sure I write a post about this one....Presenting a new mini album featuring The flora season pattern paper from Papericious....isn't it gorgeous. This album is wedding gift but I didnt want it to be restricted to only wedding photos and so I added the Label Mister and Missis...so its perfect for any photo as a couple.
I do not have much time to write a tutorial for this mini-albums but I will certainly add pictures and list of supplies used. I have followed the page layout by Ginger Ropp from My sister scrappers. I love the way this album turned out and I hope my client is happy with it. This is the second album I have made using The flora season- pattern paper and I just love this paper pack....beautiful pastel shades and very pretty.
This album and the box was a custom designed for a wedding and was a rush order.....but I have tried my best to capture few pics before it left my door.  This album is decorated using resin frames, Mdf embellishments, mulberry flowers, rhinestones, laces, pearls, metal chrarms and other little things which add little details tot his projects. I have used doilies in this project which I think looks perfect as a picture mat and peeks from behind the photos.....super cute.
